Reveal! The Burlesque Solo Project is a three-month guided performance intensive designed for students who are ready to move beyond choreography classes and begin creating original solo work in a supportive ensemble environment. Throughout the course, students will explore the full creative process behind building a burlesque solo; from concept development and music selection, to movement, character, storytelling, staging, costume ideas, and audience connection. Through weekly workshops, peer feedback, and instructor coaching, each performer will develop an individual act while working alongside a collaborative cohort of fellow artists. Inspired by the creativity-driven approach of Atlanta School of Burlesque, this course emphasizes both artistic growth and personal confidence. Students will be encouraged to take creative risks, refine their stage presence, and discover what makes their performance voice distinctive. Whether you’re developing your very first solo or refining your creative process as a performer, this series provides the structure, accountability, and community support needed to bring your vision to life. Students will explore: - Burlesque act structure and storytelling - Character and performance persona development - Musicality and choreography creation - Stage presence and audience engagement - Props, costume concepts, and reveal planning - Collaborative feedback and performance refinement - Rehearsal techniques and polishing for performance Recommended for: Students with prior burlesque, dance, theatre, or performance experience who are interested in creating original solo work in a collaborative and supportive environment.
